Let’s Hear It For Some Nice Sunshine And A Vacation

Every now and then I get the urge to take off for a hot destination near the beach, where I can read and swim and just take it easy. In this economy, most of us are being a lot more careful about how we spend our money. From what I can tell hitting the road for distant places is not going to happen too much in the near future for a lot of us. There are a few places with hot weather, hotels with pools, the beach and a few opportunities for saving a little money.

California is one place to consider, and if you’re looking for warmer weather you should think SoCal. There are pushing 100 miles of great accessible beaches between San Diego to Malibu, dozens of places where you can lay out your towel. The SoCal Vacation Guru website is one place where you can learn about San Diego attractions and beaches and find links to great resources related to the area. The site includes tips and wisdom in planning your Southern California vacation.

There are quite a few websites offering travel deals to fun warm-weather places like Southern California, and that includes Legoland discounts. Cancun,  Mexico is another candidate if you’re looking for even warmer weather.

A trip to Cancun in the spring or summer can be a smart choice, and you are likely to find Cancun travel and hotel deals and discounts if you do some research on the web. The city includes a long peninsula with dozens of beachfront hotels. The weather can actually be too hot in the middle of summer.

There are a bunch of other resort cities in Mexico besides Cancun. Consider also Jamaica and Playa del Carmen. Spend some time up front doing research so you learn about the culture and background of the place, and also to make sure you can come to wise decisions during your trip. I’m not sure how we made it before Google came along, but now it is possible to obtain an amazing amount of research information before you embark on your warm-weather vacation.
