Sometimes big name console gaming companies like Sega and Sony’s PlayStation allow plenty of 3rd company accessories from chargers, face plates, and controllers.
For some reason Microsoft simply does not admit any other companies to produce third party controllers. Possibly they do not want to see players getting an unfair advantage on X-Box Live, or maybe just would like everyone to buy their controllers from the original company. Whatever the reason, it simply isn’t allowed.
That’s right where 3rd parties who “mod” controllers enter in.
